A handsome evergreen shrub that can quickly reach heights of 2 meters or more in one season. Showy three pronged deep green leaves are great for tropical and jungle style gardens. Solanum laciniatum is covered in masses of purple flowers from summer into autumn that are followed by bright orange egg sized fruits (inedible!). Solanum laciniatum originates from New Zealand where it is commonly called a ‘Kangaroo Apple’. Hardy in milder parts of the UK.

Autumn & Winter: Protection from cold with horticultural fleece can be beneficial in severe cold weather.
