An incredibly rare plant that boasts fantastically large leaves. Boehmeria platyphylla is named after its enormous plate sized leaves, hence ‘platy-phylla’. Each large leaf has serrations at the leaf edge and a purple underside that contrasts against bright green leaf veins. The leaves also have a wonderful puckered appearance, adding even more visual interest to this plant. Boehmeria platyphylla originates from densely forested areas of India.
