Autumn & Winter: If your garden experiences severe cold you can apply a temporary protective layer of horticultural fleece. Echiums dislike root disturbance so try to avoid moving the plant or digging too close to its root system.

Grow Echium wildpretii in full sun to enjoy a healthy rosette of silvery blue leaves for the first two years. In year three your Echium wildpretii will produce a deep red flower spike made up of thousands of tiny flowers that the bees will love!
