Tillandsia Ionantha Rubra’s leaves are a deep green colour. Amazingly around flowering time, the leaves of this airplant take on a vivid red hue which is sustained through flowering. The flowers are a deep purple colour. I love to grow air plants on the trunks and branches of trees in my tropical style garden for the ultimate jungle look.
???? Tuck this plant into crevices in your trees and garden buildings where it will happily grow away during the summer months. In winter bring indoors as an interesting low maintenance houseplant.
